Meadow Springs Farm is located at 5560 Frazeysburg Road, Nashport, Ohio and is just five miles north of downtown Zanesville. The property was bequeathed to the Muskingum Valley Park District by Miss Bernice Delong for the establishment of Meadow Springs Farm “. . . as an agricultural, conservation, and environmental education farm” and as “a perpetual facility for teaching conservation and sound farming practices”.
The farm is a mix of cropland, pastureland, and forest lands. The farm also includes two houses and multiple farm buildings. Owl Creek Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the property.
Meadow Springs is a mix of cropland, meadows, wetlands, and forest totaling 101 acres. The Owl Creek Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the property. Terms of the easement require that the property is to remain in agricultural use to produce food and fiber in perpetuity, and for the preservation of natural habitat for fish, wildlife, and plants. Structures on the property include two house and numerous agricultural buildings. One of the houses is a private residence of which its occupants have life residency rights.
